  • Vincent Guerre is an expert in European policy and public affairs. He spent many years working within the institutions of the European Union, first as a parliamentary assistant to a Member of the European Parliament and later at the European Commission. In these roles, he was closely involved in the development of EU policies and in the drafting and negotiation of European legislation. Today, he works in European public affairs as a professional lobbyist. He also organises simulations of EU policymaking for university students and writes books that explore how the European Union works, making its institutions and decision-making processes accessible through humour and playfulness.

  • Think you know the European Union? Its complex inner workings, endless debates, and backroom negotiations. What if you had to navigate them yourself? Brussels is taking on an unprecedented challenge: regulating the colour of the sun. A crucial matter that could reshape entire industries and spark a battle for influence at the heart of the European institutions. In this gamebook, you are not a mere spectator: you step into the shoes of a lobbyist representing an industry with a direct stake in the outcome. The strategy is yours to shape. Across 440 interconnected sections, your choices will open up different paths. Face the consequences. This interactive, satirical and highly realistic journey behind the scenes of European power may just reveal that the colour of compromise is rarely the brightest. Will you pull the strings in Brussels or become a puppet of the European machine, dancing to the tune of procedures and committees?
